Sunday 18.02.2024 was the memorial event to honour the passing of Peter Short in December 2023.
Peter (Shorty) was the former President, Steward, Director and Life member of the DSCC.
A good crowd attended to support the field of 14 entrants from the local club as well as a few from away.
The classes all ran in reasonable time with improvements in track knowledge and skills being shown by juniors Abbie Fraser and Ian Gray.
Awards for 2023 were handed out during the lunch break with Bryson Lloyd taking out the All wheel Drive class, as well as overall Autocross champion.

During the lunch break, Khanacross ran on a short course inside the main track with drivers aged 12 to 16 gaining some experience and developing driving skills.
Volunteers supported the days events from the canteen, time keeping and stewards, with Justin Aylett, President of SDCC, making the trip across to assist with the officiating.
The club always welcomes new drivers and especially new juniors to attend and run events on the 3rd Sunday of the month. Further details can be found on the website: dscc.com.au.
